Welcome to the Pacific Novel Project.
What is the PNP?
We’re demonstrating our entire writing and publishing process. From shitty first drafts, critiques, and drafting; to submissions, rejections, and publishing. All in the open, warm embrace of the kind people of the interwebs. You’ve probably read about these steps, but we put them into action real time.
Who are we?
I’m Jason. A CHINFO award-winning Navy journalist with 20 years of writing and editing experience. I received a bachelor’s in creative writing from Pacific University of Oregon in 2015, with minors in English and history. My short story “It’s Only Rust” can be found in the steampunk anthology Real Girls Don’t Rust.
That’s Steve. He graduated from Pacific University of Oregon in 2016 with a bachelor’s in creative writing, and a minor in publishing and editing. His poetry has been published in Dark River Review and the lit mag, The 13th Floor. (He’s a sensitive soul.) He’s also front man and songwriter for his band, Hurkamur.
Our goals?
To become self-sufficient writers, to help others become so, and share our love of the literary with a like-minded community. Please visit our Patreon page @ patreon.com/pacificnovelproject. There you’ll find more content, including exclusive bonuses for Patrons.
Periodically yours,
JP and SC
